In Review.

I've been having another down month when it comes to my writing, but as it's December I felt it was time to do a Year In Review post. So - here are all the awesome things I did this year!

I Got My License and Bought a Car

That's right - I can officially drive myself around, and I do so in my own car. It's a little Toyota Corolla hatchback, and even though it's the one colour that I specifically said I did not want, I have fallen in love with it. I still have a lot of learning to do, but it feels good to have this small piece of independence.

I Sold a Story to That's Life! Magazine

This isn't as exciting as it sounds - when I saw I sold a story, it isn't a story that I wrote. That's Life! is a lifestyle magazine here in Australia, and a few months ago they were asking if anybody had some real-life ghost stories. I did, so I messaged them, and everything went from there. All I did was tell my story, though. I did not write the article. It was still an accomplishment, though.

I Played Bridesmaid at My Cousin's Wedding

Self-explanatory. My cousin got married in March, and I was asked to be one of her bridesmaids. It was the first time I have ever been part of a wedding party, so it made for a nice experience. My favourite part of the entire thing though was being able to visit the beautiful Hunter Valley. I would do that again in a heartbeat.
I Crossed Papa Roach and Halestorm Off My List of Bands to See

I saw Papa Roach at Soundwave back in February (another good thing I guess, since Soundwave appears to be no more), and if you read my blog back then you know it was a hell of an experience! And just last week I saw Halestorm at an intimate little Sydney show, on their debut Australian tour. Again, a fantastic experience. I am super glad that I went to both.

I Met Evanna Lynch and Bellusira

I met Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood of Harry Potter) at ComicCon this year, where I also got my photo taken with her and had her sign it. So there was something I never thought I would do. And last week at the Halestorm show, I was able to meet their support band, Bellusira. They were lovely people, and if you ever get a chance to see them live I highly recommend it!

I Started Writing Again

This was huge for me, as you all know. And even though I'm still struggling with it, I am determined that I will get back on my feet. It's all just a matter of time.
